This was our attempt to see the Iowa-Iowa State football game and share the experience with our friends in Des Moines via FaceTime (for Macs. think Skype, only better). Turns out, we couldn't get the game in Vancouver as all the sports stations were dedicated to more important things, like curling. So, we had the Majures point the computer toward their TV screen and we shared the game that way. The picture here was taken by Laura. Yes, Patty's teeth are gleaming like she's in a Macleans 's toothpaste commercial.
While it was great seeing our friends in Des Moines, the game itself was painful. It will have the same residual memory for me as spending four hours stalled in traffic.
Oh, and the beer is Slipstream Cream Ale, from Phillips Brewing Company in Victoria, B.C.
I, for one, enjoyed the outcome - for a change. It was great to have you as virtual guests.
ReplyDeleteMatt Campbell didn't sound too happy, out numbered as we Hawkeye fans were. Thanks for sticking up for us Matt on our day of humiliation and ineptitude. And of course, we have to hand it to the Clones: on Saturday, they ruled and we druled (right, Mitch?).
ReplyDeleteMitch took it like a trooper. Matt soldiered on.
ReplyDeleteA day of infamy. There are no winners in that game.
ReplyDeleteI have Mac stuff!!
Now the Illini smoked sdsu. As in south Dakota. And Michigan squeaked by noted dame.
Gotta love fall football
Can you FaceTime?
